Dennington Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

We are pleased to confirm that the village Neighbourhood Watch scheme has recently been re-established. Neighbourhood Watch is about working together with your neighbours to help reduce crime and improve community safety. These schemes are community-led and supported by the police.

You can sign up by visiting:
https://suffolknwa.co.uk/ and entering your postcode in the "Find your nearest scheme" box.

Volunteer Co-ordinator Needed

We are looking for a volunteer to act as the village co-ordinator. The role involves:

• Acting as a point of contact for members and sharing information
• Keeping scheme details up to date
• Signposting residents to appropriate support
• Encouraging reporting of suspicious activity
• Promoting home and personal security
• Supporting neighbourliness within the community

There is no set way to run a scheme- there is no requirement for meetings or newsletters. The key aim is to stay connected, look out for one another and share useful information. If you are interested in the role or would like more information, please contact: clerk@dennington-pc.gov.uk
